New Patient Registration
The area served by the combined practice covers Spennymoor area including the surrounding villages of Kirk Merrington, Hett, Byers Green, Newfield, Binchester and Croxdale.
We will register new patients resident within the area defined above. We also take patients who live to the west of the A167 in Ferryhill (Dean Bank Area).
To join the practice come to reception at St Andrew's Medical House and ask to be added to the practice list. Please bring your NHS card if you have one. You will be asked for your date of birth and to complete forms that will give us essential information while your records are being transferred from your previous health service provider.
You will be offered a "new patient" registration medical appointment with one of the Healthcare Assistants.
NOTE: If you have repeat medication at your current practice, please make an appointment to see an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Doctor for a medication review. As St Andrew’s has clinical responsibility for any medication issued to our patients, we must carry out a medication review before issuing any repeats.
You will be registered with a named GP, but you have the freedom to choose which GP you would like to see. Simply make known your preference at the time of making an appointment.
